Any handmade tile mural can be installed directly on drywall, plywood and concrete. You will need to choose appropriate glue for the application. To begin installation place the mural on the floor the way it displays the painting. Locate the wall center where the tile mural is going to be installed and mark intersecting lines. Start applying ceramic tile glue while avoiding covering the lines. Spread it with a trowel equipped with notches. Begin laying tiles towards both ends. Last ceramic mural tile in each raw should meat the vertical guideline. Firmly press each tile while installing giving twisting motion. It assures adequate contact with the wall. Lay the tiles leaving about 1/4 inch spaces or without them. The following day begin filling up the spaces with grout. Depending on the distance between tiles use sanded or regular powder. To improve the mural life span use water proof version for kitchen backslashes and bathroom walls. It will prevent the humidity entering behind the tiles causing mould. Apply it in all direction until it enters deep between each talavera mural tile. Then clean the mural with a wet sponge. Let it dry for a moment and wash the tiles again. Once completely dry remove any mist left with the dry cloth. If necessary repeat washing hand painted mexican tile mural once again.
